Jessie S. Tippette

Jessie S. Tippette, 87, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away February 7, 2015 in Orange Park, FL. She was born on October 11, 1927 in Lexington County, SC to parents, Herbert and Cora (Jackson) Snipes. She had moved to Florida during her childhood and had lived in the area for over 60 years. Mrs. Tippette was Baptist and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, James W. Tippette, Jr. in 2007; her grandsons, Troy Burnett and Brian Tippette; her brothers and sisters. Survivors include her step-children, James E. Tippette, Charles H. (Anna) Tippette, Cheryl Ann (Sonny) Kirsch and daughter-in-law, Donna Burnett; grandchildren, David Tippette, Tony Tippette, Nichole Tippette, Nancy Moore, James Beasley, Matthew Latner, Emily Andone and Ashleigh Carter; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Missionary Mike Alvarez officiating.
