Allen "Mack" McGowen Liverman

Allen McGowan “Mack” Liverman, 78, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on the 12th of February in 2015 in Orange Park, FL. Mack was born on the 8th of May in 1936 in Deep Creek, Virginia. He joined the United States Marine Corps on the 8th of July in 1953, and served his country until the 7th of July in 1956. He ran Mack's Grocery from 1982 until 2006, dedicating those 24 years to serving his community and being a friend to everyone in his small town. He ran the store with pride and worked hard every day to make sure his small little store provided the best to everyone, especially his family. His family was everything to him, from giving the best he could to his children and spoiling his grandchildren and all of the neighborhood kids. Mack loved NASCAR nearly as much as his family, making sure his family knew that Jeff Gordon was the best there ever was. He loved holidays, and made sure his family was there to celebrate every Thanksgiving and Christmas with him. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Terry Liverman; children and step-children, Mack, George, Nannette, Mary, Rosalee, James, Monique, Clint, Linda, Joe, Pam, and Michelle. His grandchildren, Rebecca, Garrett, Brandi, Tamra, Melissa, Brittany, Gary, Zack, Vanessa, Ashley, Shelly, Devon, James Alan and Jonathan; his great-grandchildren; Isabella, Lorelei, Neavaeh, Boston, Georgia, Adalynn, Gracie, Evan and Andrew; his brother, Daniel Liverman; his sister, Patricia Peck. He was preceded in death by his son, William Claude Liverman and great granddaughter Trinity Nevaeh Racine. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Decoy Baptist Church 671 Decoy Road, Green Cove Springs.
