Douglas "Doug" Frisk

Doug Frisk passed away February 16, 2015 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 85. He was born to Rudolph and Ida Frisk on September 15, 1929 in Geneva, Illinois. Doug married Elsie Clayton LeKander on November 27, 1953 in Dekalb, Illinois. They have five children, Sharon, Randall, Jan, Sheila and Donna. He was a Resort Owner of Leech Lake Lodge in Walker, MN for 18 years. He then sold it in 1989 to retire. Doug played drums with several bands around Batavia and Aurora, Illinois. Doug became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in October, 1981 when he joined Batavia, Illinois Lodge #682. Doug and Elsie came to Moosehaven on May 22, 2002 where he resided for 12 years. Funeral Services held Monday, February 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Moosehaven Chapel followed by entombment in the Moosehaven Mausoleum. Services conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Lodge. He is survived by his wife Elsie Frisk, a Moosehaven resident. Five children, Sheila Lang of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Donna Wilson of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Sharon Bailey of Jacksonville, Florida, Randall LeKander of Fargo, North Dakota and Jan LeKander of Temple, Texas and a sister Jerrilyn Crabtree of Silves, Illnois. Nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
