Robert M. Driggers

Robert M. Driggers, 81, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2008. Mr. Driggers was born to Everett and Pitie Driggers on April 13, 1927 in Bostwick, FL. He was a member of Decoy Baptist Church and enjoyed many jobs throughout his career including working in the pulpwood industry and working as a rancher in the farming and cattle industry. Mr. Driggers was a devoted family man and he will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a son, Robert “Bobby” Driggers, Jr.; and his longtime friend, James Peterson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Lorraine W. Driggers; a brother, Herbert (Helen) Driggers; 2 sisters, Lila Mae Messer and Faye Minotto; 3 grandchildren: Kathy Rodgers, Caroll (Robert) Olliff, and Jeremy Driggers; and 4 great-grandchildren: Ryan and Victoria Wightman, and Melissa and R.J. Olliff. The family will receive friends in the chapel of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 2:00 pm officiated by Reverend Bobby Baker. Interment will follow in Decoy Baptist Church Cemetery.
