Leon Rife

Leon Rife, 75, of Palatka, FL, passed away February 28, 2015. He was born on November 6, 1939 in Hurley, VA to parents Calvin and Amanda (Layne) Rife. Mr. Rife had worked as a truck driver and was a NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his children, Sherry Lynn Rife and Joel Leon Rife and siblings, Opal Dotson and Bobby Rife. Survivors include his wife, Sally Rife; children, Leslie Rife Smith, Jeffery, Anthony and Jonathan Rife; brother, James C. Rife; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
