James W. Crews, II

James W. Crews, II, 76, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away March 4, 2015. He was born on September 23, 1938 in Wilmington, NC to parents James and Mabel (Buie) Crews, I. Mr. Crews had worked as a general contractor and was a member of Harbor Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He was a member of Ezra Lodge No. 67, F & AM and the Morocco Shrine. Mr. Crews enjoyed fishing in his free time and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Susan H. Crews; daughters, Suzette Mahoney (Tim) and Doree Allen (Bill); brother, Harry Pruitt, Jr.; sisters, Doree Crews, Jolynn Pruitt and Jackie Pruitt and grandsons, P.J. Mahoney, Kellen Mahoney, Harrison Allen and Holden Allen. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Harbor Baptist Church, 1120 Clay St., Fleming Island 32003 with Rev. Sam Jewell officiating. The family will receive friends in the church from 9:00 am until service time. Interment with military honors will take place at 1:00 pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
