George A. Wolcott, Sr.

George A. Wolcott, Sr., 75, of Orange Park, FL, passed away March 10, 2015. He was born on January 10, 1940 in Kilgore, TX to parents Roy and Velma (Franks) Wolcott. Mr. Wolcott moved to the local area in 1966 from Escondido, CA and was retired from the United States Navy. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve and loved woodworking and spending time with his loving great-grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents and also his brothers, Charlie E. Wolcott and Roy J. Wolcott, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Frances Wolcott; sons, George A. Wolcott, Jr. (Lora) of Yulee, FL and Howard J. Wolcott of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Fred E. Wolcott (Mae) of De Queen, AR and sister-in-law, Pat Wolcott and Marvell Wolcott, both of De Queen, AR; grandchildren, Larissa, Shane, Jerri Lynn and Christa and great-grandchildren, Devon, Camron, Hailee, Landan, Austin, Klowe, Emilee, Gavin, Piper and Rowan. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218.
