Lois Arnold Dukes

Lois Arnold Dukes, 85, of Middleburg, FL passed away March 16, 2015. She was born on February 20, 1930 in Tampa, FL to parents Charlie and Leo (Love) Arnold and moved to Middleburg from Jacksonville in 1960. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Orange Park. Mrs. Dukes was active in the Women’s Republican Party and also worked with the Supervisor of Elections. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed fishing and dancing. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Clayton T. Dukes, Sr. (2013) and a brother, Charles “Chuck” Arnold. Survivors include her sons, Clayton T. Dukes, Jr. (Marsha) and Charles A. Dukes; daughter, Sandra “Sandi” E. Like; sister, Edna Freeman; grandchildren, David, Daniel, Joshua, Adam, Misty and Brianna; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. David Zink officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery.
