Janet Louise Gillespie

Janet Louise “Jan” Gillespie, 70, of Orange Park, FL passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on June 17, 1944 to parents William and Welda (Peterson) Bothe in Denver, Colorado. Jan married Dietrich Schulz on January 26, 1972. They had two sons, Drew and Dana and a daughter Lindsey. Mr. Schulz preceded her in death on November 24, 1995. Jan later married Dave Gillespie on November 11, 2006 and was blessed with a stepson, Brian and two stepdaughters Patty and Phyllis. She worked as a merchandiser for Lawrence Merchandising retiring in 2013. Jan became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on November 2, 2005 when she joined Glendale, Arizona Chapter #1642. She received her Academy of Friendship degree on March 9, 2008 and College of Regents degree on July 2, 2011. Jan came to Moosehaven with her husband Dave on February 25, 2013 where she has resided for 2 years. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 in the Moosehaven Chapel at 2:00pm. Services conducted by Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Chapter. Jan will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends she is survived by her husband David Gillespie of Moosehaven, Orange Park, Florida; Sons, Drew Schulz of Knoxville, Tennessee and Dana (Tanya) Schulz of Germantown, Wisconsin; daughter, Lindsey (Gary) Schulz of Peoria, Arizona; Stepson, Brian Gillespie of Marion, Indiana and stepdaughters, Patricia Lusher of Marion, Indiana and Phyllis Tedder of Sweeter, Indiana; sisters, Barbara Jochum of Norfolk, Nebraska, Denise Harmel of Fremont, Nebraska, Angela (Monte) Barcus of Lawrence, Kansas and Rhonda (Lane) Collins of Meadow Grove, Nebraska, and many wonderful grandchildren, nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her memory to Moosehaven Officers of Opportunity Lodge 1701 Park Avenue Orange Park, FL 32073.
