Lucy B. Dominguez

Lucy B. Dominguez, 80, of Middleburg, FL went to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 9, 2015. She was born August 7, 1934 in Beaumont, TX to Jose and Bentura Bernal. Lucy was always taking care of someone or something from the time she was a young girl. She loved her family and gave everything she had for each member. She loved gardening and her porch and home were always filled with an array of plants and flowers. She would water and talk to them and loved the challenge of getting something to grow and blossom. Lucy was like that as a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She had such a warm and gentle disposition and always saw the good in everyone. She was a kind, gracious, and beautiful soul. She was an amazing cook and put so much love in every meal she every prepared for her family. Lucy was always eager to make sure everyone around her was happy and content and was the most selfless person. She never ever complained about a thing. She had such humble beginnings and was grateful for everything she ever had or got to experience. She was a wonderful story-teller and loved to chat and share memories of her life. She loved to read, do embroidery, and needlepoint. Most important to Lucy was her faith and she displayed that every day. Mrs. Dominguez is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Dominguez; son, George Dominguez; and daughter, Cynthia Dominguez. Her survivors include her sons, Tiofilo (Patti) Dominguez, Henry (Shirley) Dominguez Jr. and John Dominguez; daughters, Rosa Linda Govea ( Jimmy) and Rachel Rangel(Sal); siblings, Judy Deanda; Ophelia Fountain; Mary Hellen Yelliot. At her time of passing she was living with three of her grandchildren; Jessica Dominguez, Levi Garza, and Dallas Dominguez. She will be so dearly missed by all that loved and knew her. The interment of ashes at Jacksonville National Cemetery will be held at a later date. A memorial service will be held in her honor Monday April 13, 2015 at 7:00pm at the Broadus-Raines Funeral Home.
