James L. Hill, Jr.

James L. Hill, Jr., 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2009, with Carol, his devoted wife of 54 years, by his side. Mr. Hill was born May 13, 1929 to James, Sr. and Marion Hill in Long Island, NY. He honorable served in the United States Marine Corps. He was also a member of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his daughter, Cydney Hill. He is survived by his wife, Carol Hill; daughters: Cathy Hicks (David) and Janet Ahr (Dave); grandchildren: James Packer (Holly) and Samantha Packer; and 3 great grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, 6865 Pine Ave., Fleming Island, officiated by Reverend Canon Ken Herzog.
