Allen Beacom Blair

Allen Beacom Blair, 71, of Orange Park, FL, passed away May 29, 2015. He was born on June 16, 1943 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to the late Blaine and Marjorie (Beacom) Blair. Mr. Blair served his country in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was the owner of a Boiler Water Treatment company. He moved to the local area in 1985 from Cincinnati, OH and was a member of Celebration Church. He loved boating and was a member and Past Commodore of the Sea Ray Boating Club, the American Legion Post 250 in Middleburg, FL and was the former Finance Director of the Clay County Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed golfing and being Paw Paw to his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Patty Blair; son, Chad A. Blair of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Christy Ann Blair of TX and 5 grandchildren, Devon Blair, Noah Baker and Cody, Bryant and Kelsey Baker. A graveside inurnment will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 12, 2015 at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218 with military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name be made to Camp Boggy Creek, 30500 Brantley Branch Rd., Eustis, FL 32736 or www.boggycreek.org.
