William Crowson

William “Bill” Crowson passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 85. He was born to John and Caralee Crowson on May 26, 1923 in Camilla, GA. Bill served in the US Army and was a WWII Veteran. He retired from military service after more than 9 years of Honorable service on the 30th day of April 1954. He received the Good Conduct Medal of Honor. Bill married Phyllis Jeffries on November 26, 1966. He became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in November 1, 1981 when he joined Lake Shore, FL Lodge #2020. Bill and his wife Phyllis came to Moosehaven on December 10, 2002. Phyllis preceded him in death April 6, 2005. He resided at Moosehaven for 6 years. A Funeral will be held in the Moosehaven Chapel on January 14, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. and will be conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and officers of Opportunity Lodge, followed by internment in Moosehaven Mausoleum. He is survived by two sisters Lib (Bill) Gilley of Ocala, FL, and Patricia Klumker of Middleburg, FL, one stepdaughter Doris (Regis) Harris of Madisonville, TN and a stepson, Bower (Martha) Jeffries of Callahan, FL.
