Roger D. Lewis

Roger D. Lewis, 66, of Panama City, FL, passed away on May 29, 2015. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on November 26, 1948 to Odis Charles and Kathleen (Osborn) Lewis. Roger was a master carpenter and of the Baptist faith. He loved the water, going fishing and music. Roger enjoyed a dance he called “jookin”. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always cutting up. Roger loved his children and grandchildren and as long as he was near the water he was happy. He is preceded in death by his father, sister, Kathy Bickley and brother, Greg Lewis. Roger is survived by his mother, Kathleen Sanderford; daughter, Chelinia Kirk (Matthew); sons, Randall Lewis (Tina), Russel Lewis and Andrew Lewis; brothers, Charles Lewis, Don Lewis and Ricky Lewis; and grandchildren, Levi, Katarina and Logan. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Black Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Baker officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
