Jimmy Burton McLendon, Sr.

Jimmy Burton McLendon Sr., 73, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away June 25, 2015. He was born in Green Cove Springs to parents Jack Homer McLendon and Flori Hatcher McLendon. He was a logger and a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Pearl McLendon; sons, Jimmy Burton McLendon Jr. (Clara) and Samuel Roy McLendon (Nita); daughters, Leora “Buffy” Green (Joe) and Brenda Jean Cox (Billy); brothers, Gene McLendon (Bernice) and Jack McLendon (Sharon); sister, Lois “Lolly” Perry (Mitchell); 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 at Black Creek Baptist Church in Penney Farms with Rev. Bobby Register officiating.
