Philip W. Barrile, 80, of Middleburg, FL, passed away July 8, 2015. Born, to the late Philip and Ruth Elizabeth (Brooks) Barrile, on December 30, 1934 in Waltham, Massachusetts, he lived in Bedford, MA, Hingham, MA and later retired to Florida. Philip graduated from Waltham High School class of 1952 in Waltham, MA. He attended Bentley College in Boston, MA and honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Philip was a comptroller for Commonwealth of Massachusetts Plumbing. He enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing, playing the mandolin, making fishing poles with his friends, but most of all, spending time with family and friends. Philip was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church, the Sons of Italy, the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Philip is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Philip Barrile, and his brother, Richard Barrile. Philip is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janet; children, David Barrile of Ft. Myers, FL, Diane Koss (Dan) of Middleburg, FL, Karen Veczko (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL, Patricia Leger of Whitman, MA and Lisa Parke (David) of Richmond, KY; sister, Mary Ann Kenyon of Palm Desert, CA; grandchildren, Philip Hollum, Nichole Adair (Brian) and Felicia Vivona; and great-grandchildren, Tanner Hollum, Ashley Adair and Jeffery Hampton. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 1:00pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Philip’s honor to the Custead Care Center – Haven Hospice, 741 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32065.
