Raymond "Jess" Stacy

Raymond “Jess” Stacy, 69, of Middleburg, FL, passed away February 4, 2009. He was born on December 10, 1939 in Wolford, VA to parents, John and Snoda Stacy. He had worked as a coal miner and moved to the local area in 1977 from Virginia. He enjoyed coon hunting and fishing and was a member of the 700 Club. Mr. Stacy had attended Congregational Holiness Church in Green Cove Springs and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his son, Hershel Stacy. Survivors include his wife, Kim Stacy; children, Terry Stacy, Billy Stacy (Melany), Jay Stilianou (Amanda) and Anthony Stacy; brothers, Jim and Billy Ray Stacy; sister, Betty Lou Stacy; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, February 9, 2009 at Congregational Holiness Church with Reverend Ronnie Surrency officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, Green Cove Springs, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Clay County Shrine Club, 2471 CR 209, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
