Mrs. Virginia Jones

Mrs. Virginia Jones, 82, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Friday, February 6, 2009. She was born on March 29, 1926 in Naylor, GA to parents, Ross and Beatrice Moore. Mrs. Jones had lived in Green Cove Springs for over 60 years and had worked for Burlington Mills until its closing and for Sawyer-Deel Gas Company and AA Propane. She was a longtime member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, formerly a member of the BPOE 1892 in Green Cove Springs and enjoyed working in her yard. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include her sons, Doug Jones (Paula), Glenn Jones (Valerie), Craig Jones (Penni) and Virgil Jones (Denise); 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, February 9, 2009 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Penney Farms Cemetery.
