Carmelita Paradero Brown, 70, of Jacksonville, Fla. passed away Monday, July 27, 2015.
She was born on May 22, 1945 in Palompon, Leyte in the Philippines to parents Antonio and Francisca Paradero.
Mrs. Brown was a retired supervisor from the Swisher Company International, where she worked for almost 20 years. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Orange Park, Fla.
She enjoyed karaoke and dancing with her family and friends. She was a wonderful lady who loved helping people, especially her Filipino family and friends, many of whom reside locally and in the Philippines. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her well.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Claud A. Brown, and her son, David R. Brown. She is survived by her daughters, Diane and her husband Jason, and Mary Ann and her husband Joe; grandchildren, Matthew and his fiancée Kate, Brittany and her husband Adam, Nicholas, and Brandon; many family members in her native Philippines; and her beloved canine companion, Buddy, whom she adored.
She has a great-grandchild set to join her beloved family in October.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 at Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Green Cove Springs. Please sign the family’s online register book at www.broadusraines.com.
