John Larry Haworth

John Larry Haworth, 81, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away August 14, 2015. He was born on December 4, 1933 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Lindon A. and Mattie (Simmons) Haworth. John proudly served in the United States Army, was a member of the Tin Benders Club and loved going to his church, Hickory Grove Baptist. He enjoyed fishing, shrimping, camping, collecting old cars, painting, drawing, word search puzzles and gardening. John also enjoyed helping with the annual Cane Grinding fish fry in Lake Asbury. He loved time with his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Angelene B. Haworth; son, Earl Parker; daughters, Linda Young (Glen Sr.), Debbie Runion, Kathy Hopkins (Chuck), Angela Bramlitt, Betty Roberts (Bobby) and Brenda Lowe (Eddie); brother, Charles Haworth (Nancy); 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Broadus-Raines Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Russell Franklin officiating.
