Rev. Russell L. Hall

Rev. Russell L. Hall, 70, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009. He was born on May 20, 1938 in Freeburn, KY to parents, Julius and Mary Hall. He moved to the local area in 1966 from Chicago, IL and worked for 14 years at the J-M Manufacturing Company and later retired as a warehouse manager for the Clay County School Board after 16 years of service. He was an active member of Black Pond Baptist Church and had been the Associate Pastor there for over 15 years. He enjoyed going out on visitations with the church families and others. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Joan Daugherty and his brother, James Dotson. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Botta M. Hall; sons, Russell B. Hall (Tina) and Christopher E. Hall (Jennifer); brothers, Jerry, Roger, Randy, Danny and Gary Hall; sister, Betty Dotson and grandchildren, Jeff, Kristen, Josh, Caleb and Alex Hall. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Black Pond Baptist Church, 3644 Old Jennings Rd., Middleburg, FL 32068. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, February 16, 2009 at Black Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his nephews and honorary pallbearers will be the Church Deacons. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to The Gideons International, P.O.
