Mary "Betsy" Elizabeth King

Betsy King passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 7:10 AM in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 84. She was born to Mary and Cicero York on January 27, 1925 in High Point, NC. Betsy married Edward “Bill” King on August 21, 1943 in Greensboro, NC. They had three children, Bill, Michele and Trish. Betsy enjoyed her 20-year career selling Cosmetics for Fashion 220. She also enjoyed her volunteer work in High Point, NC. She became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in January, 1986 when she and her husband, Bill joined High Point, NC Lodge and Chapter. Betsy was very active in High Point, Chapter # 961 where she received the College of Regents Degree. Bill and Betsy came to Moosehaven on November 23, 2005 where she resided for 3 years. A Memorial Service will be held in the Moosehaven Chapel on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. and will be conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Opportunity Chapter.
