Dorothy Lee Winans

Dorothy Lee Winans, 90, of Gainesville, FL, passed away August 17, 2015. She was born on June 4, 1925 in Mulberry, FL to the late Robert and Luna (Chastain) Jones. Mrs. Winans had worked as a bank teller and was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters; her brother; granddaughter, Stephanie Wilson and husbands, Jack H. Jenkins, Sr. and Raymond G. Winans, Jr. Survivors include her son, Jack Jenkins (Vicki); daughter, Jeanie Godbold (Jesse); grandson, Tommy Godbold (Ralph); great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hanna Godbold and her companion, Lloyd Koser. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Forest Grove Cemetery, Alachua, FL with The Reverend Jeremy G. Hole officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the E.T. York Care Center-Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
