Dora Lucille Vest

Dora Lucille Vest, 91, of Orange Park, FL passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015. She was born on January 29, 1924 in Little Burch, West Virginia to parents, Henry and Faye (Hover) Jackson. After 21 years in Tampa, Dora moved to the area and became a member of the Skelton Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and singing in the choir. Dora was a champion bowler, a nurse and an electrician.54 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Allen Vest; her daughter, Joann Carder Blazedell; and her step-children, Jerry and Barbara Dale Vest. Survivors include her son, Harold Carder; sister, Jessie Eagle; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, August 27, 2015 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Fr. Michael Pendergraft officiating.
