Walter J. Heath, Sr.

Walter J. Heath, Sr., 64, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009. He was born on November 4, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY. He moved to the local area in 1956 from Brooklyn, NY and had worked as a service station attendant at NAS Jacksonville. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Mandarin Lodge #42 and Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Fleming Island where he was in charge of the coffee and donuts for the Sunday morning Mass. He was a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Mr. Heath was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. Heath and Frances Perrotta Heath; and a sister, Peggy Guarnera. Survivors include his sons, Walter J. Heath, Jr. and Charles H. Heath; sisters, Nancy A. Jones, Louise Blair, Joan Calciano, Shirley Donaruma, Patricia Bergeron and Alice Nadine Black as well as his devoted companion, Petey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Fleming Island with Father Donal Sullivan as Celebrant.
