Ralph L. Andreson, Sr passed away of natural causes on 25 February at the age of 97 in Fleming Island, Florida. Ralph was born on July 9, 1911 in Abilene, Kansas, where he spent his entire childhood and many of his adult years. He was a successful wheat farmer and owner-operator of Abilene's Builders Supply and Roofing Company for many years.. He served his nation with distinction during World War II in the Field Artillery Branch of the Army on Iwo Jima and other Pacific locations. In recent years Ralph has resided in Fleming Island in the Jacksonville, Florida area, where until recently he was active as a commodity trader in the stock market. Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Doris, and a family which includes his son Ronald, granddaughters Lucy, Lynn and Adrienne Lee and five great grandchildren. He will be interred in the cemetery in Abilene, Kansas near his first wife, Lucile, who predeceased him in 1946, and other family members. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 10:30 am Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Broadus Raines Funeral with the service beginning at 10:30 am with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating.
