Luther Edwin Wilson

Luther passed away October 17, 2015 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 89. Luther was born on July 22, 1926 in Gerry, New York to Lynn and Edith (Hutchinson) Wilson. He had one brother and two sisters. Luther met Audrey, the love of his life in 1945, and the two were married in Jamestown on September 6, 1947. They had two daughters, Brenda and Karen. Audrey preceded him in death on May 6, 2013. In 1950 they moved to New York where they lived until moving to North East, PA in the early 1970’s. Luther worked from Speed Motor Express as a Truck Driver. He retired in 1988. He became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in 1950 when he joined the Northeast, Pennsylvania Lodge #2568. Luther and his wife, Audrey enjoyed traveling to all the States and Canada over the years. They enjoyed their many vacations with their daughters in their younger days. Luther and Audrey came to Moosehaven on November 19, 2001 where he resided for almost 14 years. He survived by his daughters, Brenda Wynkoop of Erie, PA and Karen (Lynn) Kauppi of Phoenix, AZ, and one grandson Christopher Kauppi of Phoenix, AZ. Luther will be laid to rest in the Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida next to his wife, Audrey on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 12:30pm.
