Raymond E Pitzen

Raymond E. Pitzen was born on September 25, 1931 to Alvin and Catherine (Stadler) Pitzen in Oshkosh, WI. He graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1950 and joined the Navy in 1951 for 4 years. Raymond married Ruth Waid, daughter of Royal and Ethel (Beck) Waid, in 1953. He worked at Winnebago Health Institute for 33 years. Raymond enjoyed gardening, bowling, dart ball and baseball. He played for Local 48 and Sunday Morning Social for Jerry’s Bar. Raymond resided in Oshkosh, WI until he retired to Pine River, WI and then to Green Cove Springs, FL. He still spent his summers in Pine River, WI “his God’s country”. This “Dippy Grandpa” dearly loved his granddaughters, his “double trouble” “Toots & Tweety”. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ruth; sons, Joseph of Green Cove Springs, FL and Jim of Oshkosh, WI; daughters, June (Tod) Stevens of Green Cove Springs, FL and Kathy (Tim) Stevens of Fleming Island, FL; granddaughters, Ashlee Pitzen of Oshkosh, WI and Amanda (Dustin) Zetteck of Fleming Island, FL; step-grandsons, Christopher (Anne) Stevens and Michael (Chrissy) Stevens; great-grandsons, Christopher Stevens of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Michael Tod Stevens of Oshkosh, WI; sisters, Audrey Raugh with partner Ken Seibold and Virginia (Harold) Kissinger of Butte Des Morts, WI; half brother, Bill (Leola) Pitzen of Oshkosh, WI; and half sister, Diane Pitzen of Fon de Lac, WI.
