Thelma Condon Breen passed away peacefully on October 27th in Penney Farms, FL. She was born in Bergenfield, NJ on January 29th, 1922 to William and Helen Condon. She grew up with her three brothers in Teaneck, NJ and the Bronx, NY. She was a proud member of “The Greatest Generation” and enjoyed skiing, tennis, and travel. She was a big fan of Woody Allen and Jerry Seinfeld as well as the opera. Thelma enjoyed trips to the Jacksonville Zoo and St. Augustine Alligator Farm with her granddaughter. As a young woman she worked at Bell Labs and the Metropolitan Life Company. She married Alexander Breen in 1953 and lived in Nashville, TN, Ardmore, PA, and Chicago IL. Thelma moved to Teaneck, NJ, raised two children, Alec and Helen, and was also a member of St. Anastasia parish. She worked at Saks Fifth Avenue in Hackensack, NJ during the 1980’s. Upon retiring she moved to Knoxville TN (member of St. John Neumann parish), then to Jacksonville, FL (member of Our Lady by the Sea parish) and finally Penney Farms, FL. During most of her life she attended daily mass. She is survived by her brother William Condon, Prairie Village, KS; son Alec Breen, Richmond Hill GA; Granddaughter Alecia Breen, Richmond Hill, GA; Grandson Brian Moran, Dumont, NJ and Granddaughter Michelle Moran. Funeral Services will be at Holy Trinity Church in Hackensack, NJ December 22nd and burial at George Washington Memorial Cemetery, Paramus, NJ.
