Mary Ellen Cahoon

Mary Ellen Cahoon, 85, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away November 5, 2015. She was born on September 11, 1930 in Ashland, Pennsylvania to parents John Nelson and Lillie Alice (Bolich) Kull. Mary came to Jacksonville in 1982 after living in Richmond, Virginia and Hallandale, Florida. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Shindler Drive Baptist Church. Mary really enjoyed the trips she took with her late husband, George Maylor Cahoon. She loved angels and walking or hiking in the mountains. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son, John David Laughlin. She is survived by her sons, Edward Nelson Laughlin, James Albert Laughlin and Timothy Orbit Cahoon; daughter, Debra Susan Cahoon; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. John Green officiating. Interment in Jacksonville National Cemetery will follow the service at 12:30pm. Please sign the family’s guestbook at www.broadusraines.com.
