James "Doug" Ratcliffe

James “Doug” Ratcliffe, 63, of Middleburg, FL, passed away November 10, 2015. He was born on August 12, 1952 in Christiansburg, Virginia to parents Covvie and Ruby (Nolley) Ratcliffe. Doug came to the Florida area from Virginia in 1962, was a Christian and enjoyed Gator football. He was hardworking, honorable and very generous with his friends and neighbors. Doug loved the family pets, enjoyed playing “master chef” in the kitchen and being the glue that held the family together. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Doug is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Jaimi. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joni Holton Ratcliffe; daughter, Jessica Ratcliffe; brother, Ken Ratcliffe (Rita); and grandson, Noah. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.. Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Holiday Inn, 620 Wells Rd, Orange Park, FL 32073 (904) 562-7400.
