William "Scotty" Rhoden

September 11, 1949 — November 19, 2015

William Scott “Scotty” Rhoden, age 66 from Lake Butler, FL passed away November 19, 2015 at the E.T. York Haven Hospice Center in Gainesville, FL after an extended illness. He was a retired police officer and truck driver. He was born and raised in Starke and was a 1967 graduate of Bradford High School. His parents are the late William C. (Dub) Rhoden and Minnie R. Rhoden of Starke. He is survived by his sister, Dotty Rondelli (Paul) of Starke; brothers, Michael Rhoden (Janice) of Green Cove Springs and Dennis Rhoden (Dee) of Keystone Heights; nieces and nephews, Ricky Kite, Tracie Brazell, Kristy Rhoden, Jeremy Rhoden, Ryan Rhoden and Mathew Rhoden; and many great-nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Nancy, Dean, Benny, Ray and John for their lifelong friendship. A celebration of his life will be held at the Sampson City Church of God in Starke, FL at 3pm on Saturday, November 28, 2015 with Pastor Gene Bass preaching. The family requests in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to either Haven Hospice or Lake Butler Hospital for the outstanding care that he received from these facilities during his time of illness.
