Elizabeth "Betty" Leigh McManus

February 9, 1927 — November 23, 2015

Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Leigh Patterson McManus, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 23, 2015 in Orange Park. Mrs. McManus was born on February 9, 1927 in Danville, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Whiffen Patterson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carter Harold McManus and brother, Lewis Bailey. Surviving are her children, Ann Judson McManus Reyes of San Francisco, California and William (Billy) Carter McManus of Jacksonville, Florida; One sister, Sally Patterson Lisenby of Ozark, Alabama; 7 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren and her loving cat Willow. Mrs. McManus was employed at the ARC of St. Johns for 42 years, from August 1972 thru August 2014. There will be a memorial service at Trinity Episcopal Parish located at 215 St. George Street in St. Augustine, Florida. The service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 5, 2015. Mrs. McManus was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
