Mildred J. Guice

Mildred J. Guice, 87, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009. She was born on August 11, 1921 in Hendersonville, NC to parents, William and Lela Justus. She retired from the Telephone Company in Hendersonville, NC after 33 years of service and had lived in the Green Cove Springs area since 2002. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and former member of the VFW. Mrs. Guice enjoyed cooking and was of the Methodist faith. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Foy Guice. Survivors include her son, Robert F. Guice (Sara); daughter, Fran Peterman (Lloyd); grandchildren, Mark A. Guice (Elaine), Brent A. Guice (Natashia) and Tonya Tardif (Brian) and great-grandchildren, Ashton and Caleb Guice. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services and interment will be held in Hendersonville, NC at Thomas Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors.
