Joyce Waters Williams

Joyce Waters Williams, 87, of Middleburg, FL went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 22, 2009. She was born October 26, 1921 in Glenville, GA to parents, Erastus and Ada Waters. Joyce was a member of Black Pond Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Lee Williams, Sr. and daughter, Brenda Joy Brown. Survivors include her children, Kent Williams (Debbie) of Middleburg, FL and Gay Kennedy (Hiram) of Middleburg, FL and Statesboro, GA; son-in-law, Lenny Brown; 7 grandchildren, Elisha “Caleb” Williams, Raymond “Joe” Tatum, Jr., Jerry Lee Tatum, Mary Jo Todd, Len Brown, Jr., Brenda Walters and Tammy Gee; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Black Pond Baptist Church, 3644 Old Jennings Rd., Middleburg, FL with Rev. Charlie Hunt and Rev. Gerald K. Powers officiating. Visitation will be in the church Thursday from 3:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow in Black Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to The Gideons International c/o Kent Williams, 4273 Blueberry St., Middleburg, FL 32068.
