Emma passed away December 6, 2015 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 85.
She was born to Anthony and Philomena Troino on July 31, 1930 in New York, New York. Emma worked for the US State department as a clerk. She also worked at Florida Power and Light along with many other positions while racing her five children.
Emma married Rosario (Sam) Gennaro on April 30, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York. They had three sons, William, Robert and Anthony and two daughters Phyllis and Joan.
She became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose when Rosario joined Hialeah, FL Lodge #1074 on April 14, 1962 and she joined Hialeah, FL Chapter # 1231on December 2, 1965. She received her Academy of Friendship degree on January 1, 1985.
Emma and Rosario “Sam” came to Moosehaven on July 27, 2010 where she resided for 5 years. Sam preceded her in death on July 4, 2011.
Celebration of Life Services held Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Moosehaven Chapel. She will be laid to rest in the Jacksonville Memory Gardens, Orange Park, Florida.
She is survived by sons, William Gennaro of Inverness, Florida, Robert Gennaro of Woodstock, Georgia, Anthony Gennaro, of Hiram, Georgia and daughters, Phyllis Baldwin of Jacksonville, Florida, Joan Douglas of Scottsmoor, Florida.
