Thomas Edwin Gower

Thomas Edwin Gower, 78, of Orange Park, FL passed away December 4, 2015 in Orange Park, FL. He was born to parents Wilbur E. and Sara Mildred (Edwards) Gower on September 10, 1937 in Hazelton, PA. Mr Gower transferred to NAS Jacksonville from NAS Beeville TX in August 1978. He retired from the US Navy as a CPO with 23 years honorably served in April 1979. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine Gower; son, Robert Gower (Yuri) of Goleta, CA; daughters, Susan Winn (David) of Middleburg, FL and Julie Settar of Orange Park, FL; brother, David Gower of Mt. Airy, MD; niece, Karen Heckman (Doug) of Bridgeton, NJ; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on January 22, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. with full Military Honors. Please sign the family’s online guestbook at www.broadusraines.com.
