Mrs. Roma Faye Burk

Mrs. Roma Faye Burk, 79, of Orlando, FL, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2009. She was born on April 14, 1929 in Grundy, VA to parents, Hibbert and Amy Thacker. She had worked as a manager of a Senior Citizen Complex and enjoyed gardening. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Jim Burk. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Goldberg (Andrew) and Sandy Drenner (Monte); siblings, Sadie McDade, Lucy Ashley, Ralph Thacker, Ronald Thacker and Estle Thacker and grandchildren, Christina Drenner, Ashley Goldberg and Kelsey Drenner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, April 13, 2009 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Andrew Goldberg and Monte Drenner officiating. Visitation will be in the chapel one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Little Ruth Cemetery. Please sign the family’s online register book at www.broadusraines.com.
