Wilburn Otis Mincey

Wilburn Otis Mincey, 102, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. He was born in Ogeechee, GA on November 21, 1906 to parents, Shelly and Mattie Mincey. Mr. Mincey moved from Kenai, Alaska to the Green Cove Springs area 12 years ago. He was a member of the Congregational Holiness Church and worked hard his entire life raising his family and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and he is survived by his daughters, Melba Justus, Vivian Parlin (Whitey), Rosemary Colley, Kathryn Justus (Leo); sister, Mattie Farbee; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Reverend Ronnie Surrency officiating.
