John A. Dillener, 94, of Penney Farms, FL, passed away February 7, 2016. He was born on December 11, 1921 in Tabriz, Iran to parents Leroy and Emily (Heusel) Dillener. John was a WWII Veteran serving his country in the Army Air Corps. He moved to the area in 1986 coming from Perry, NY and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Green Cove Springs, FL. John was the Superintendent of Toresdale Water Filtration Plant in Philadelphia, PA, a member of the Florida Rural Water Works Association and was Penney Farms Town Manager for many years. He was a consultant for the design and construction of waste water facilities in Lower Pakistan, Saigon, Vietnam and in Bangkok, Thialand.
John is survived by his children, Erik Dillener, Jeff (Deborah) Dillener and Jerrell (Walter) Clark; sisters, Florence Massey and Meriam Scott; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
