Regina Gunther
April 4, 1934 – February 8, 2016
Regina “Mom Catlow” Alvera Calamari Gunther, 81, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2016 in her home at Moosehaven in Orange Park, FL.
She was born on April 4, 1934 to parents John and Nellie (McKnight) Calamari in Aberdeen, NJ and was of the Catholic faith.
Regina retired as an accountant for Broward County.
She became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on October 1, 1998 when she joined Lauderdale Lakes Chapter #1699. She received her Academy of Friendship degree on April 25, 2004. Regina came to Moosehaven on July 8, 2014 where she has resided for the past year and a half. She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, crocheting and staying actively involved at Moosehaven. Regina will be remembered for her quick wit, her funny sayings, and that she always had to get the last word.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in her memory in Fort Lauderdale at a later date.
The family would also like to express their gratitude to her Moosehaven family and Community Hospice of Orange Park for their caring and compassion during this difficult time.
Regina is survived by her children, Bill Catlow (Laurie) of Davie FL, Lori Sciandra (Tim) of Hope Mills NC, and Debra McLaughlin of Suffolk VA, her grandchildren, Steven, Linda, Mike (Jamie), Danielle (Rodney) and Anthony (Lauren), and her great grandchildren Victoria, Madison, Jordan, Hailey, Mackenzie, Kennedy and Maci. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
