Alice Ruth Johnson, 96, of Keystone Heights, FL passed away February 13, 2016 in Gainesville, FL. She was born on July 3, 1919 in Hawkinsville, GA to parents John and Dora Belle (Morgan) Hornbeak and was the 9th child born of 11 children. She had lived in Florida since 1920, was a member of the T.O.P.S. Club in Melrose, FL and a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her sons, Frank Johnson and Lamar Johnson; granddaughter, Amy Thomas, and great-grandson, Ethan Thomas. Survivors include her son, Vance “Seaboard” Johnson (Sharon); daughters, Ruby Easterling and Hyta Campbell (Kenny); 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home from 4 - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016.
