Thelma Jane Wood Nolan

Thelma Jane Wood Nolan, 87, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away March 1, 2016. She was born on September 14, 1928 in Garza, TX to parents Jesse and Eva Wood. Mrs. Nolan was a member of Fleming Island Presbyterian Church and enjoyed nature, especially flowers and birds. She dearly loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Sherman Nolan. Survivors include her children, Jimmy Nolan (Donna), Myrna Nolan and Kathryn Loader (Michael); sister, Jacqueline Lane; grandchildren, Laura Sabo (Scott), Amy Kerns (Drew), Jennifer Holman (Caleb), Aaron Duncan (Sarah), Sonya Moore, Brandy Snider (Larry) and Kevin Nolan; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Jordan, Payten, Austin, Norah, Ambur, Jayde, Wyatt, Roy, Teresa, Kody, Aerial, Lyric, Amethyst and Zoe and great-great-granddaughter, Joy. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Fleming Island Presbyterian Church, 1743 CR 220, Fleming Island, FL 32003 with Dr. Jim Weldon officiating. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Bowen-Donaldson Funeral Home, 420 Love Ave., Tifton, GA 31793. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 1:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow in Zion Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs, 1107 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
