Jerry Klemm, Sr., 80, of Orange Park, FL, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009. He was born on March 19, 1929 in Manitowoc, WI to parents, Marvin and Vivian Klemm. He had lived in the local area since 1960, moving here from Chicago, IL. He was a graduate of the Utility Engineer Institute and was a District Area Manager for Bridgestone/Firestone Tire. Jerry was a Korean War Veteran, serving his country in the United States Army. He was a big supporter of Veterans and was a member of the American Legion as well as the Gum Dippers, a Firestone retirement club. Jerry was also a member of NRA and Pinewood Presbyterian Church in Middleburg, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bob Berge. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Inez Klemm; sons, Craig Klemm (Darcy) and Jerry Klemm, Jr. (Katherine); daughters, Pamela Gayle Klemm and Cindy Neil; brother, Bruce Klemm (Virginia); sister-in-law, Laverne Berge; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, May 1, 2009 (Tonight) at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Middleburg, FL with Reverend Jerry Klemm, Jr. officiating. Military honors will be conferred at the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to BEAMS, P.O. Box 10200, Gulfport, MS 39505.
