Stephen E. Harmon, Sr., 61, passed away March 11, 2016 in Orange Park, Florida. He was born on November 9, 1954 in Jacksonville, Florida to parents Carrell E. and Roberta (Oneal) Harmon. Stephen was a lifelong resident and of the Methodist faith. He was the owner and operator of a car hauler for thirty years, and for the past ten years, he worked as a Maintenance Coordinator for Dixon Auto Transport of Jacksonville. Stephen enjoyed listening and playing the acoustic guitar and loved his four legged friends. He cherished time spent with his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Stephen is predeceased by his father, C. E. Harmon, a Navy Veteran, and his mother Roberta O. Harmon, retired Navy. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Ivey Harmon; sons, Stephen E. Harmon, Jr and Jeffrey K. Harmon; daughter, Holly E. Harmon; sister, Delores Cannon (Bill) and grandchildren, Jameson Lewis Harmon and Nash Hudson Harmon. A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Pastor Tim Martin and Pastor Bryan Simpson officiating.
