Lorene "Lori" Masucci

Lorene "Lori" Masucci, aged 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 2, 2016. She was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and was the last surviving of the nine children of Mabelle and Arthur Hanson. She married Ronald Masucci, her devoted husband of 36 years, in 1979. Lori attended University of Michigan on scholarship and obtained an accounting degree, later in life, from Jamestown Community College. She worked as a flight attendant for United Airlines, during the golden age of air travel. She joined Paine Webber and was a noted successful professional woman, in the otherwise male-dominated financial field. Upon her retirement from Paine Webber, she had achieved the title: Vice President of Operations of the Rochester Office. After retirement, she turned her pursuits to many charitable and volunteer organizations including the LPGA, the Pendergast Library as a literacy volunteer and the Jamestown Meals-on-Wheels program, where she was appointed President. In 1998, after Ron's retirement as President of Acu-Rite, Incorporated in Jamestown, NY, the couple relocated to Jacksonville, where she spent her final years enjoying golf, her Bridge group, and her always present pet dogs. She is survived by her husband Ronald Masucci, step-daughters; Pamela (James) Valovcin of Camarillo, CA, Linda Masucci Tax of Montclair, NJ , Lisa (Christopher) Carlin of Medfield, MA, seven grandchildren, her sisters-in-law Donna (Junior) Hanson and Jan (Warren) Hanson, and many loving nieces and nephews. She will be laid to rest alongside her mother in her beloved state of Michigan. The family will receive friends at 10am on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.
