William Howard Burgess, Sr.

William Howard Burgess, Sr. went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 7, 2009. Bill was born August 19, 1932 in Lawrenceburg, TN to Richard Herbert and Dorothy Mae Burgess. He attended Decoy Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs, FL. He has been joyfully reunited in Heaven with his loving wife of 54 years, Lucie M. Burgess; son, William Howard Burgess, Jr.; grandson, William Howard Burgess III; parents and 4 brothers. Bill will be immensely missed by all who loved him. Here on earth he leaves to cherish his memories with, his daughter, Billie Lou Burgess Reinert (Bruce); grandchildren, Christina Martin (John), Matt Reinert, Jessica Merrilees, Andrew Reinert, Spencer Reinert; great-grandchildren, Madison Merrilees, LJ Martin; brother, John Burgess (Linda) and sisters, Peggy Burgess Franz and Dottie Burgess Ball. A memorial service celebrating Bill’s life will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 14, 2009 in the Chapel of Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home, 6411 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach, FL (561) 833-4061. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Local visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 12, 2009 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.
