Richard Lussier

October 6, 1928 — May 10, 2009

Richard Lussier, 80, passed away May 10, 2009. He was born to Louis and Winifred Lussier on October 6, 1928 in Manchester, NH. Richard married his first wife, Rosemary Hoban on August 29, 1957. She preceded him in death on May 27, 2000. He worked for Approved Personal Inc. in accounting and retired in 1982. Richard became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in April 13, 1970 when he joined Silver Springs, FL Lodge #1199 and became a Life member. He was a member of Moose Cypress Legion # 202. He came to Moosehaven on April 29, 2003 where he has resided for 5 years. Little did he know that the “love bug” would bite again. His new life at Moosehaven brought him much more than he ever imagined – a safe and secure home, a best friend and wife and several children he never had. Lillian’s family welcomed Richard into the family with open hearts and arms. He met Moosehaven resident, Lillian Nalle and their friendship blossomed. Neither Richard nor Lillian ever dreamed of getting married again, as they both had wonderful marriages, but they did. On June 11, 2005 they were united in marriage having had a beautiful Christian Ceremony in the Moosehaven Chapel. Funeral services held Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Moosehaven Chapel followed by cremation with inurnment in Moosehaven Mausoleum. Services conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Lodge. His wife Lillian Lussier, two stepchildren, David Nalle, and Luann Dzura survive him.
