Cecil E. “Ed” Bradley, Jr., 73, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away May 8, 2016. He was born on February 21, 1943 in Marianna, FL to parents Rev. Cecil and Bernice (Olive) Bradley. Mr. Bradley was a school administrator for the Clay County Public School System, beginning his career here in 1966 as a teacher and coach. He was a Dean of Students at Orange Park High School, Asst. Principal At Lakeside Elementary, Vice Principal of Clay High School, Principal Of Orange Park Elementary, Principal of Lake Asbury Elementary, and as Principal opened Thunderbolt Elementary. He retired after 35 ½ years of service in the school system. He was a member of Orange Park United Methodist Church. He was an excellent golfer and enjoyed bass fishing. After retirement he spent much of his time in the mountains of North Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Elaine H. Bradley; son, Chris Bradley (Shannon) of Brooklyn, NY and his sister, Cecilia Bradley of Tallahassee, FL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating. The family will received friends in the chapel from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
