Trudy Sigman

Trudy Sigman, 92, of Orange Park, FL, passed away May 7, 2016. She was born on May 21, 1923 in Troppau, Czechoslovakia to parents Karl and Annamaria (Schreiber) Sonnek. She moved to the local area in 1964 from Italy and was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Sigman was a professional ballet dancer who graduated from the Vienna Conservatory in Vienna, Austria. She danced all over Europe professionally and performed at the La Scala Opera House in Milan, Italy. She taught ballet at many locations in Europe. Mrs. Sigman loved to cook, making new friends and was a master gardener. She was a member of many local clubs and societies and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Elizabeth Kaiser who died in 2008. She is survived by her son, Lawrence A. “Larry” Sigman (Sandi) and her granddaughter, Lacey Anne Sonnek Sigman.
